On October 3, 2025, we had a special opportunity to test the performance of our vehicles under real working conditions. At the invitation of our valued customer Hartmann, we were able to accompany the team on site for an entire working day.
The main focus was the DIAMO Combi in action – far away from the polished appearance of the production hall and right in the middle of demanding work in alpine terrain.
Working in Hochmontafon: A Challenge for People and Machines
The working day started promptly at 7 a.m. at the company headquarters in Ludesch. Together with the Hartmann team and the DIAMO Combi, we made our way to Hochmontafon. The destination was a work site at around 2,000 metres above sea level.
Several demanding tasks had to be completed on site:
- Emptying a large grease separator system
- Flushing the pipes of a busy mountain restaurant
- Ensuring operational readiness for the upcoming season
This assignment clearly showed how important reliable suction and flushing technology is in challenging alpine environments.
Sustainability Through Modern Suction and Flushing Technology
One of the highlights of this job was the strong focus on circular economy. After the work was completed, the extracted grease was transported to the nearest wastewater treatment plant.
There, it is used as a valuable raw material for the biogas plant and contributes to sustainable energy production. Anyone who sees the DIAMO Combi in action quickly understands that this vehicle is not only about cleanliness and efficiency. It also makes an active contribution to environmental protection in the region.
Confident Performance on Narrow Alpine Roads
The route to the mountain restaurant placed high demands on the vehicle. The all-wheel-drive truck had to make its way up narrow alpine roads and through extremely tight bends.
Thanks to its precise technology and the experience of driver Thomas, the route was no obstacle. The DIAMO Combi handled the challenging conditions with confidence and reliability.
Designed for Regional Operations in Vorarlberg
This vehicle was specially designed for regional operations in Vorarlberg. It demonstrates every day how versatile and dependable the combination of a suction and flushing vehicle can be, even at extreme altitudes.
The DIAMO Combi in action in Hochmontafon proved once again that powerful technology, practical design and sustainable solutions go hand in hand. Whether for grease separator cleaning, pipe flushing or demanding assignments in alpine terrain, the DIAMO Combi is a reliable partner for professional environmental vehicle operations.
